A New Favorite
How many lipsticks do you have in your purse?I usually have about five at any given time. A nice variety of lipsticks, glosses, and my good ol’ standby DCT lip treatment.
I was recently tried Lip 20 Treatment in Natural by kaplanMD and I’m in love! Not only does it feel great on your lips and add a dash of color; it conditions and protects all at the same time. It doesn’t have that “sting” like other lip treatments and yet it promotes fullness, sunscreen and anti-aging benefits. Wait to you see the case. Every time I pull it out of my purse, some says, “Wow! That’s gorgeous.” I just smile and say, “Yep. And it feels incredible too.” (available in four shades, Clear, Natural, Sheer Berry, and Sherry Ruby. www.kaplanmd.com $30)

Dr. Stuart Kaplan, Celebrity Dermatologist says YOU can have beautiful skin for life!
Dr. Kaplan explains the 3 Different types of aging, Chronological, Environmental, and Hormonal and how we can have the beautiful skin we’ve always wanted. “We need to begin taking care of our skin from day one.” But what if your like me and didn’t start taking care of your skin years ago? Can you improve the quality now? Absolutely! Dr. Kaplan believes that if you start today, you can improve the quality of the your skin. What do we need to do first? Understanding the different types of aging.
Chronological Aging: Time
We all know about chronological aging, don’t we? As each year passes we begin to notice our skin changing. Perhaps we notice our skin texture changing, the color, the luminous look begins to dull. Many of start to take care of our skin at this point. No matter how old you are, begin taking care of your skin now to insure great skin later.
Environmental Aging: External Elements
Sun, wind, and pollution cause our skin to age at different rates. Sunscreen is essential in helping some of the environmental aging we see from exposure to the sun. Sun damage from our youth shows up later in life. But, it’s never too late to take care of your skin, and protect it from future damage.
Natural Hormonal Progression: Phases in life
Both Men and Women age hormonal, starting at birth and going through all stages of our our life. Research shows that Hormonal levels change in our late twenties. Some of the signs hormonal aging are thin skin, brown spots, fine line, wrinkles, and redness.
What do can we do? What products should we use? Celebrities were coming to Dr. Kaplan and asking the same thing! He realized that there wasn’t a line of products that treated all the skin symptoms that his patients were complaining about. After four years of research he created, a streamline skin care routine kaplanMD. with the 10:3:1 philosophy. 10 Active Ingredients, treating all 3 types of aging, in 1 product. “It’s like a multivitamin for your skin.” You get maximum results in one concise line.

Dr. Kaplan explained the importance of understanding that if you layer too many products on your face at one time, you don’t get all the benefits. After a few layers of different products, nothing reaches the skin. Not only do we waste time and money by having dozens of products each with an individual purpose, but they aren’t as effective. If you have all the ingredients in one product, the skin benefits.
But, what about all the other questions we have about skin? Okay, hormonal changes cause brown spots? How do we get rid of them? How can we make our pores tighter? Is Botox safe? What are the different types of fillers available?
Dr. Kaplan has the answers! He’s graciously offered to be a weekly guest at The RedLipstick Report and answer all your questions. We’re excited to have him join the team of experts we’re assembling for you.

Shana King, Co-Founder of Adesign brushes shares her top five tips
1. Clean brushes once a week at home. Daily if your a Makeup Artist.
2. Steer away from alcohol base cleaners. The Alcohol dries out the brushes. Use mild facial cleanser or baby shampoo. Something with moisturizing property works best.
Conditioner brushes once a month.
Make sure you rinse with luke warm water. Hot water will cause glue to soften between handle and ferril. Do not submerse brush completely in water.
Always reshape and lie your brushes flat. Hang them over the counter edge so they get fullness back. Don’t throw them back in kit while wet. Make sure they are completely dry before returning to brush roll or kit.
Expert Quick tip:
Use Facial Wipes for a fast clean up.
Allow brushes to dry a little before using.
